READ WITHOUT DISTRACTION

An indie classic with a strong pop sensibility.

It’s been a while since I listened to that album. It reminds me of last autumn. Things were changing. Leeves left the trees. The cold weather signaling the arrival of winter.

It’s a pretty good record for the autumn months. The first song I heard from it was Crutch. The strumming guitar that holds the rythm on the whole song catched immediately my attention. It somehow blends together elements of indie rock, pop, and electronic music. A very unique style of puting togheter the vocals of both singers. Beautiful harmonies. The use of subtle electronic elements, such as synthesizers and drum machines, adds a layer of texture and depth to the album’s sound.

Personally, the best thing about that album is that it just gets better toward the end. I wish that the guitar melody on Byzantine would never ever stop.
